Oman's share index unchanged

The MSM30 index closed at 3,567.34 points, unchanged from previous close. The Sharia Index closed up 0.57 per cent at 508.35 points. DIDIC, up 4.12 per cent, was the top gainer while Renaissance Services, down 10.00 per cent was the top loser. Bank Nizwa was the most active in terms of number of shares traded while Bank Muscat was the most active in terms of turnover.
A total number of 446 trades were executed during the day's trading session, generating a turnover of OMR2.21 million with more than 14.37 million shares changing hands. Out of 38 traded stocks, 9 advanced, 10 declined and 19 remained unchanged. At the session close, foreign investors were net sellers for OMR901,000 while GCC and Arab investors were net buyers for OMR574,000 followed by local investors for OMR327,000 worth of shares.
Financial Index closed up by 0.22 per cent at 5,663.47 points. DIDIC, Bank Nizwa, Gulf Investment Services Holding, Al Anwar Holding, and Al Madina Takaful were up by 4.12 per cent, 3.45 per cent, 1.92 per cent, 1.67 per cent, and 1.54 per cent respectively. Al Sharqia Investment Holding, Al Omaniya Financial Services, Bank Muscat, Bank Dhofar, and National Bank of Oman were down by 1.56 per cent, 1.11 per cent, 1.05 per cent, 1.02 per cent, and 0.56 per cent respectively.
Industrial Index was down 0.13 per cent at 3,961.31 points. Raysut Cement was down by 0.59 per cent.
Services index was down 0.65 per cent at 1,680.84 points. Ooredoo, Phoenix Power, and OIFC were up by 2.48 per cent, 2.04 per cent, and 1.15 per cent respectively. Renaissance Services, Al Batinah Power, Al Jazeera Services, and Muscat Gases were down by 10 per cent, 1.89 per cent, 0.71 per cent, and 0.59 per cent respectively.
