Bernie Sanders enters 2020 Presidential race

Muscat: Bernie Sanders has officially announced his bid for the White House in the 2020 US Presidential elections.
The long-time senator from Vermont said, "I'm running for president. I am asking you to join me today as part of an unprecedented and historic grassroots campaign that will begin with at least one million people from across the country."
Sanders added, "The only way we will win this election and create a government and economy that work for all is with a grassroots movement—the likes of which has never been seen in American history.
"Our campaign is not only about defeating Donald Trump, the most dangerous President in modern American history, it is not only about winning the Democratic nomination, and the General election, our campaign is about transforming our country and creating a government based on the principles of economic, social, racial and environmental justice. Our campaign is about taking on the powerful special interests that dominate our economic and political life."
This will be Sanders' second bid for America's highest office, following his campaign in 2016.
That bid drew on grassroots support and Sanders has cast his 2020 bid as a continuation of his campaign three years ago.
"Powerful special interests may have the money, but we have the people," said Sanders about his upcoming run.
