Muscat: Kuwait has announced a partial curfew to control the spread of COVID-19, the Kuwait News Agency announced.
KUNA reported, "The partial curfew decision came as a result of the lack of commitment by some to avoid gathering in groups."
The Kuwaiti Minister of Interior said in a press conference: "The ministry will create a page on the Ministry’s website to submit requests for exemption from the curfew for humanitarian cases for citizens and residents to go to hospitals and health centers."
He stated that the Ministry of the Interior will implement the law strictly and track every violation of the curfew decision. The Kuwaiti Civil Defense Law stipulates punishment of 3 years imprisonment and a fine of 10,000 KD for violations.
