Vehicle insurance app to be launched in Oman soon

Muscat: A new application will be launched to enable citizens and resident to insure vehicles electronically in coordination with the concerned authorities, Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced.

According to officials, the new app will see light before the middle of this year.

In online statement, ROP said, “An application will be launched to facilitate the citizen and the resident to insure vehicles electronically in coordination with the concerned authorities before the middle of this year.”

It added, “The work is ongoing to provide self-service devices in some commercial centres to print vehicle licenses as a first stage and it will cover some other institutions such as insurance companies and others in the second phase.”
