Muscat: Due to the spread of coronavirus, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has increased the number of employees working from home to reduce direct communication between the employee and the investor.
According to the Ministry, employees working in the remote work system will be responsible of completing investor transactions electronically.
MOCI said in a statement, "After the success achieved by the 'remote work system' previously and in line with the health conditions that the Sultanate is going through regarding the coronavirus outbreak, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has decided to activate the remote work decision issued in 2017. A number of employees will work from their homes in order to reduce direct communication between the employee and the investor."
