Muscat: More than 167,000 male and female citizens were employed by public and private sectors in Oman from 2011 to 2015.
The latest statistics issued by the ‘manpower register’ revealed that the year 2015 witnessed the employment of 26,852 employees in the public and private sectors.
Around 135,000 citizens were employed in the public sector during 2011 to 2015.
Meanwhile the private sector received around 31,900 employees with various specializations and qualifications.
The stats also revealed that the private sector provided more than 209,000 job opportunities during 2015.
According to statistics, the last five years have witnessed an increase in the number of national manpower to contribute in serving the country.
