OMR 1,000 fine for selling hookahs: Muscat Municipality

Muscat: The Muscat Municipality has warned shops to stop selling hookahs. A fine of OMR 1000 will be charged on violators.

Muscat municipality said in a statement: "After inspecting 69 cafes and restaurants which offer hookah, Muscat Municipality in Bousher appreciates the commitment of these establishments in their preventive measures to combat the COVID19 outbreak."

This comes as a precaution of the Supreme Committee to deal with COVID19.
