The Environmental Conservation office is launching a program to restore a number of animals to the wildlife reserve in Al Wusta on Wednesday.
The program includes the return of a group of antelope animals (Arabian oryx - Arabian gazelle - Reem gazelle).
"These animals will be tracked and followed to understand their behaviors and the ecosystem in their natural wild environment, which will contribute to the conservation of biodiversity in a scientifically studied manner.” - Diwan of Royal Court
The wildlife reserve in Al-Wusta Governorate is the first reserve in the Sultanate established in 1994 in order to return wildlife to their natural habitat.
