Relief and shelter sector training in Oman

Muscat: Ministry of Social Development is training 32 people in the relief and sheltering sector from various states with the aim of enhancing their capabilities in the aspects of managing shelter centers, and providing relief materials during emergency situations.

According to the Ministry, the two-day training seminar aims to prepare these participants as trainers in the relief and sheltering sector in all governorates.It is to reinforce the commitment of these trainers to train staff and volunteers and to enhance the role of this sector in the governorates and in states of the Sultanate. It aims to activate the role of social development committees in the relief and sheltering sector.

His Excellency Dr. Yahya bin Badr Al Ma’wali, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Development and Head of the Relief and Shelter Sector, expressed that the “My state is ready” initiative and other sincere efforts will contribute to achieving national flexibility and that “Omanuna is ready” demonstrates once again its ability to cooperate to face challenges and the rapid rise to return to The normal situation.
