In a statement, PACA said, "After coordination with the competent authorities, the Public Authority suspended irregular (chartered) flights between the Sultanate and the Arab Republic of Egypt, starting Sunday, for a period of one month.”

“It is required for residents to produce a pre-examination certificate (PCR) that proves that they do not have the coronavirus to enter the Sultanate and they must be subject to a quarantine of 14 days," the statement said.

PACA also clarified: "Clarification: There is no suspension of scheduled flights between the Arab Republic of Egypt and Muscat International Airport via Oman Air, Salam Air and Egypt Air, taking the procedures outlined in the previous tweet in terms of the application of quarantine for all arrivals and the requirement for pre-examination PCR for residents."
