Coronavirus: College in Oman suspends classes after student tests positive

Muscat: The College of the Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS) has suspended classes for two weeks after a student tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).

College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS) said in a statement:

“The College Management would like to draw your kind attention that there was one student positively tested for COVID-19 infection on Wednesday 4th March 2020.”

“The College Management -as per the MOH directives - had taken all precautionary measures to contain the spread of infection in the College premises.”

“The College Management met this morning chaired by Dr. Khalfan Al Bharwani, Chairman CBFS and decided that to suspend all classes and all other activities for a period of 14 days starting today, 5th March 2020,” the statement added.
