12 illegal workers arrested in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Manpower arrested 12 workers from a number of restaurants at dawn on Thursday for violating labour laws.

Ministry of Manpower said in a statement: “The Ministry represented on the joint inspection team in Muscat governorate, conducted an inspection campaign at dawn on Thursday, on a number of tourist restaurants in Muttrah (Wadi Al Kabir, Ruwi) and arrested 12 workers for violating labour laws, including four females workers.”

“Legal procedures are being completed in their regard.” The Ministry added.
