Oman can expect rain in the coming days

Muscat: Northern parts of the Sultanate including Muscat can expect rainfall over the next two days, the Public Authority for Civil Aviation ( PACA) announced.
According to the meteorology authority, there are ‘chances of isolated rain- thundershower at times - over the Northern governorates of the Sultanate and rising of sea wave in a moderate/rough state on the coasts of Musandam Governorate and the Sea of Oman due to rough low pressure over the region.”
The Public Authority for Civil Aviation also announced the amount of rain recorded between February 17 and 18, 2019. Wilayat Buraimi recorded the highest amount of rainfall in Oman during that period, with 5.4mm of rain.
Mahdah saw the second highest amount of rain with 4.0 mm, followed by Khabour with 2.6 mm, Mdaha and Shinas both with 2.4 mm of rainfall.
Liwa and Bidia recorded 1.8 mm and 1.4 mm of rainfall each. while Sohar and Khasab airport recorded 1.2 mm and 1.0 mm respectively. These figures were recorded by some of the meteorological stations.
In its 24 hour outlook, the Meteorology said: “Clear to partly cloudy skies over the northern governorates and mainly clear skies over rest of the Sultanate with chances of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog patches over parts of south Al Sharqiya, Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates.”
