Muscat Festival 2016: Time for fun and frolic

Muscat Festival 2016 begins at Al Amerat Park, Naseem Public Park, Kalbuh Beach in Muttrah, and Oman Automobile Association Ground today (January 14). The festival, which will conclude on February 13, offers plenty of cultural, educational, and sporting events. Here are some of the interesting exhibitions and shows that you should not miss during the month-long event.

Naseem Public Park
Family Village and Children’s Theatre: A diverse number of arts and cultural events for children. The theatre will also host programmes from popular children’s channels.

Jungle Village
It will showcase anthropomorphic models of animals with sound and light effects.

Theatre Events
Watch entertaining balancing and fireball dance by experienced artistes. The arena will also have plenty of comic and cartoon characters to entertain you.

Omani Wildlife Show
It will exhibit the rich biodiversity of Oman with specimens of plants, animals and fish.

Amusement Park
The park will brim with activities and shows.

Fireworks
Colourful fireworks will brighten up the skies during weekends.

Al Amerat Park
Cultural Village: Open air museum will feature model of a traditional Omani village. You will get a chance to visit the traditional market (souq) and watch traditional art inside the village.

The exhibition throws light on science, technology and civilisation.

Folk Dance
Performances by folk dance troupes from India, Lebanon, Kazakhstan, Turkey, and Philippines.

Theatre Events
