Over 150 expat workers deported from Oman

Muscat: Over 150 expat workers in Muscat have been deported due to violation of labour laws.

According to the Ministry of Manpower, “The Ministry, represented by the inspection team in Muscat, during the period 16 – 22 February 2020, has deported 155 violating expat workers who were caught in the inspection campaigns to implement the provisions of the labour law within the framework of the labour market regulation.”

“The Ministry stresses the need to adhere to the law and the ministerial decisions implemented,” they added in a statement.
