Muscat: To mark the 71st Republic Day of India, a hockey festival will be organised on February 28 at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex , Bausher.
The hockey festival will be organised under the patronage of Embassy of India in coordination with Oman Hockey Association at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex.
The main organisers of the event are Team Coorg Muscat and Friends of Naqvi Group with cooperation from UTSC Kerala Muscat. Munu Mahawar, India’s ambassador to Oman will preside over as the chief guest and distribute prizes and certificates.
B.S Mehta, the Managing Director of Muscat Pharmacy and Captain Talib Al Wahaibi, Chairman of Oman Hockey Association will be the guest of honour.
Munu Mahawar, the ambassador of India, B.S Mehta, Captain Talib Al Wahaibi will be received by the organising committee members, SAS Naqvi, Osama Rawat, Kuttappa and Golaf Rahman. It will be for the 14th consecutive year that this great event is being organised.
It has been patronised earlier by former ambassadors Ashok Attri Anil Wadhwa, JS Mukul, Shri Indra Mani Pandey, and now Munu Mahawar.
Dr Hammad Hamed Al Ghafri, the member of Majlis Daula, former adviser, Ministry Of Civil Service/former president of Oman Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Sports and Youth have been giving wonderful support for the past several years.
Shiekh Kanaksi Bhai Khimji and Pankaj Bhai Khimji have been one of most honoured sponsors for the past several years. Kiran Asher of Al Ansari Group is the oldest sponsor.
