Rough seas forecast for some parts of Oman

Muscat: There will be rough sea waves along Musandam governorate coasts, reduced visibility during fog formation and rising dust across some parts with temperatures varying from 9 degrees Celsius in Saiq, to 29 degrees in Sur.

Temperatures will be 22 degrees in Khasab, 24 degrees in Buraimi, Ibri, and Masira, 25 degrees in Salalah, and Suhar, 26 degrees in Nizwa, Ibra, and Rustaq and 27 degrees in Muscat and Haima.

According to the Oman Meteorology Department, “Clear to partly cloudy skies over the northern governorates with chances of isolated rain over Musandam, Al Buraimi, Oman Sea coasts and parts of Al Hajar Mountains. Mainly clear skies over rest of the Sultanate with chances of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog patches over South Al Sharqiyah, North Al Sharqiyah, Al Dakhliyah, Al Wusta, and Dhofar governorates. Chances of dust rising over deserts and open areas of Al Buraimi and Al Dahirah governorates towards the night.”

“Over most of the Sultanate, winds will be southeasterly, light to moderate, becoming northwesterly and moderate and occasionally fresh over the northern parts towards night.”
