Russell Peters to perform in Oman

Muscat: Popular stand-up comedian Russell Peters will perform in Muscat as part of his new “Almost Famous World Tour” on February 1, at the Shangri La Barr Al Jissah. The event will be presented by Alive Entertainment and Hi FM.
Peters’ tour has sold over 150,000 tickets in Canada, where Peters will become the first comedian to have a sell-out performance at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre for the sixth time and has already been to Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, the United Kingdom, Europe and Asia this year.
Starting in 2008, Peters was one of the first stand-up comedians to self-finance, self-produce and distribute his own comedy specials and DVDs, with Red, White and Brown and 2011’s, The Green Card Tour LIVE from the O2 Arena.
He was recently seen as a judge on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, along with Roseanne Barr and Keenen Ivory Wayans.
Tickets are priced at OMR75, OMR55, OMR40, OMR30 and OMR25. They can be purchased at OUA Retail (Madinat Qaboos), the Mitsubishi Showroom (Azaiba), and at Mackenzies Café and Deli (Madinat Qaboos).
