Muscat: Over thirty kilos of food, found to be inedible during inspections, has been destroyed in North Al Batinah governorate in Oman.
According to the General Directorate for Regional Municipalities and Water Resources for North Al Batinah Governorate, “In cooperation with Food Safety and Quality Center, this is the result of inspection visits during 19 – 23 January 2020 comprising of 955 field visits in which 229 warnings were issued, 179 violations were observed, 27 facilities were closed, and 56 items (35 kg) of food were found damaged and seized."
