Dust rises over parts of Oman

Muscat: Oman Meteorology Department has issued a poor visibility forecast due to fog formation and rain with temperatures varying from 6 Degrees Celsius in Saiq, to 30 Degrees in Muscat.

Temperatures will be 23 Degrees in Khasab, 24 Degrees in Nizwa and Ibra, 25 Degrees in Buraimi, Ibri and Rustaq, 26 Degrees in Salalah, Suhar, Sur, Masira, and Haima.

According to Oman Meteorology, “Partly cloudy skies over Musandam governorate and clear to partly cloudy skies over the coastal areas of Oman Sea with chances of isolated rain. Mainly clear skies over rest of the Sultanate with chances of dust rising and wind over deserts and open areas. Chance of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog over North Al Sharqiyah, South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and Dhofar governorates.”

“Over most of the Sultanate, winds will be easterly to southeasterly and light to moderate, occasionally fresh,” they added in a statement.
