Muscat: Saiq plateau in Oman – close to the mountain of Al Jabal Al Akhdar – continues to record the lowest temperature in the country, at just 4.4 degrees Celsius on Monday.
The four other coldest places in the country all had temperatures that hovered around the 10 degree mark, with Yanqul in Ad Dhahirah clocking a temperature of 9.7 degrees, according to the Directorate General of Meteorology at the Public Authority for Civil Aviation.

Two places in the southern Dhofar Governorate – Mazyunah (10.8 degrees) and Thumrait (11.7 degrees) were among the coldest places in Oman, with Dhank – also in the Dhahirah Governorate – also registering as one of the coldest places in Oman, with temperatures of 10.9 degrees.
In keeping with the very pleasant weather Oman has enjoyed over the last few days, the hottest place in the country on Monday also recorded temperatures that didn’t cross 28 degrees.
Salalah and Taqah – both in the Dhofar Governorate, and Joba near Muhut in the Wusta region all recorded temperatures of 27.7 degrees Celsius, and were the places that recorded the highest temperatures in Oman.
Mirbat (27.5 degrees) and Marmul (27.1 degrees) also in the Dhofar, were also among those areas that showed relatively high temperatures.
