Muscat: The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has announced that there are chances of rain across the Sultanate starting from tomorrow.
According to the statement by the officials at PACA, there is an indication of trough of low pressure starting from Tuesday, January 14 and ending on Wednesday, January 15.
“The weather analysis in the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Centre indicates that a trough of low pressure will affect the Sultanate from tomorrow evening Tuesday, 14th, to Wednesday, 15th, January 2020,” PACA said.
The added that: “the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy with chances of rain over governorates of Musandam, Al Buraimi, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, Muscat, Al Dakhliya, and South Al Sharqiya. The weather event is associated with fresh northerly wind causing dust raising and hazy condition over deserts and open areas and moderate to rough sea condition along most of the Sultanate coasts with wave height ranging between 2.0 and 3.0 meters.”
The authorities have advised all citizens and residents to take precaution during rain and wadis and to check the sea state before sailing.
