Customers in Oman who plan to buy 24-carat gold jewelry will now need to spend OMR20 per gram.
According to figures released by Malabar Gold and Diamonds, the price of 24-carat gold reached OMR 20 this morning.
The price of 22-carat gold is OMR 19.3 per gram.
Gold prices have reached similar rates across the rest of the GCC countries with prices in the UAE for 22-carat gold at AED179.25 and AED190.75 for 24-carat.
