Over 200 expat workers arrested in Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Manpower arrested more than 200 expat workers last month in Oman.

“The Ministry, represented by the inspection team in Muscat, during the period between 4 December to 29 December, deported 246 expat workers who were caught by the inspection campaigns for violations of the provisions of the Labour Law and were working against regulations of the labour market,” a statement from the Ministry said.

The Ministry stressed the need to adhere to the laws and the ministerial decisions implemented.
