Muscat: Al Sharqiyah Aviation (ASA), an aircraft rental company, will soon begin offering services for the tourism and industrial sectors in Oman.

Clients will have the opportunity to see the beauty of Oman from above with the company providing the ultimate travel experience when visiting Oman. On offer are sightseeing tours, destination transfers, adventurous flights and exhilarating experiences.

For the industrial sector, they offer logistics support as well as executive transport, aerial work, load lifting and photography services. The company organised its first test flights over Muscat on December 31.

Commenting on the future growth, the company said, “As we fully support the future developments and medical infrastructure in Oman, here at ASA we will initially provide medical evacuation services. We plan for this to develop into a full Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) in the future.” In addition to making themselves available to the industrial and tourism sectors, the company had already signed a contract to provide air transport services to and from Muscat Bay. The company had previously applied for its commercial licence, and was in the process of finalising it in the first week of October.

“We are pleased to inform you of the arrival of the first commercial helicopter for Al Sharqiyah Aviation in the Sultanate,” said the company at that time.

“We are in the process of finalising the necessary procedures, and soon, we will be ready to provide our services in the tourism and commercial sector.”

The firm’s first contract to charter a helicopter was signed with South Africa’s MCC Aviation on 17 July, 2019. Al Sharqiya Aviation is a subsidiary company of the Mohammed Al Barwani Group, a company that is spread across many sectors in Oman, including oil and gas, engineering and mining.
