Information Ministry to organise fourth Media Family Forum

Muscat: The Ministry of Information, in a strategic partnership with the Public Authority for Radio and Television (PART) and Sultan Qaboos University (SQU), will organise at the SQU Cultural Centre next Wednesday, the 4th Family Media Forum (Our Media: A Renewed Commitment).
The forum will be held under the patronage of Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior.
The ceremony will include an exhibition entitled (e-Media Projects), launching the media portal, announcing results of the media proficiency competition 2019 and the winning projects in the initiative of humanising the media, in addition to honouring media professionals who have won international awards.
A seminar on “Electronic Media” will also be held as part of the forum’s activities at SQU today, in addition to organising two workshops, the first titled “Awareness Campaigns in Social Media” and the second entitled “Ways of Media Coverage by Mobile Phone,” which will be held at Oman Establishment for Press, Publication and Advertising on Tuesday.
The Media Family Forum aims to find a harmonious awareness of the Omani media, enhance the relationship between official institutions and media professionals, and provide a humane media climate that supports various media efforts and initiatives.
