Oman weather: Two rescued from vehicle stranded in wadi

Muscat: The Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances (PACDA) managed to save two people in Al Dakhiliyah governorate.

In a statement issued online on Thursday, PACDA said: “Rescue teams in Al Dakhiliyah governorate managed to save two people after their vehicle was detained in Al Houb stream in Samail, and they are in good health.”

Royal Oman Police has urged citizens and residents to take extra caution while driving.

Road closed in Al Amerat-Baushar

Heavy rain lashed many parts of Oman including Muscat on Thursday bringing the mercury down.

Meanwhile, ROP has closed Aqabat-Al Amerat Baushar road on Thursday due to heavy rain. “Motorists can take the alternative road through Al Amerat-Wadi Adi,” ROP added.
