State Council, Majlis take part in Arab Parliament session on Palestinian reconciliation

Cairo: The State Council and Majlis Al Shura participated yesterday in the third session of the third ordinary sitting of the second legislative term of the Arab Parliament, which was held at the headquarters of the Arab League in Cairo under the chair of Mishaal bin Fahm Al Selma, Speaker of the Arab Parliament.
The speaker of the Arab Parliament opened the session by a speech in which he pointed to the challenges facing the Arab Nation. He pointed out that supporting the major Arab issues and supporting joint parliamentary action is to serve the interests of the nation and it is the basis of the work of the Arab Parliament.
The meeting discussed the reports of a number of committees and reviewed in this regard the report of the Committee of Palestine and its topics on the developments of Palestinian reconciliation and the draft statement of the Arab Parliament to support the Palestinian cause and a follow-up report on its developments.
The session was attended from the Sultanate by Mussalam bin Ali Al Mashani, member of the State of Council, member of the Foreign Affairs and Political Affairs and Natonal Security Committee in the Arab Parliament, Khamis bin Said Al Selaimi, Member of the State Council, member of the Committee on Social, Educational and Cultural Affairs, Women and Youth in the Arab Parliament, Sheikh Rashid bin Ahmed Al Shamsi, Deputy Chairman of Majlis Al Shura, Deputy Speaker of the Arab Parliament, member of the Committee on Economic and Financial Affairs, Salim bin Ali Al Kaabi, Member of Majlis Al Shura and member of the Legislative, Legal and Human Rights Committee of the Arab Parliament.
