Oman to play friendly ties against Iraq, Syria

Muscat: Oman’s national football team joined yesterday a practice camp at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex during which the team will play two friendly matches with the Syrian team on February 18 and Iraq on February 21.
The camp is in preparation for the matches in Doha in March for qualifying into the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
Football coach Hamad Al Azani of the national football team has called 25 players to join the camp, including Mohsin Al Ghassani, Salah Al Yahyaei and Ammar Al Rasheedi who played for the national team in the Asian Championship organised in the UAE.
The list of players joining the camp are Ibrahim Al Mekhaini, Yousef Al Shiyadi, Ammar Al Rasheedi (goalkeeper), Amran Al Hidi, Ammar al Shiyadi, Sultan Said, Ahmed Al Matrooshi, Yousef Al Malki,Al Gazafi Al Mahrooqi, Ammar Al Habsi, Khamis Al Rabiei, Arshad Al Alawi, Mutassim Al Mihaijri, Thuwaini Hadid, Ali Moosa, Iyhad Al Balushi, Marwan Talal, Salah Al Yahyaei, Asad Al Awadi, Mohsin Al Ghassani, Saud Al Habsi, Mohammed Al Ghafri, Zaher Al Ghbari, Essam Al Subhi and Abdulrahman Al Mishaifri.
Badge for 17 referees
Oman Football Association (OFA) organised on February 11 a ceremony at the Conference Hall of Seeb Sports Stadium to hand over the international (FIFA) Badge for 17 referees in the presence of Salim bin Said Al Wahaibi, chairman of Oman Football Association and the chairman of the Referees Committee at OFA.
The list comprised six main referees; Ahmed Al Kaf, Yaqoob Abdulbaqi, Omar Al Yaqoobi, Mahmoud Al Mejrafi, Qasim Al Hatmi and Khalid Al Shaqsi and eight assistant referees; Abu Baker Al Ameri, Rashid Al Ghaithi, Hamad Al Mayahi, Abdullah Al Jardani, Hamad Al Ghafri, Abdullah Al Shamakhi, Rashad Al Hakamani and Nasser Ambusaidi; two referees for beach football Turki Al Salehi and Falah Al Balushi and one referee for indoor football, Majid Al Hatmi.
