House selling illegal tobacco products raided in Oman

Muscat: Municipal authorities have raided a house in wilayat Masirah in South al Sharqiyah, used for selling cigarettes.

South Al Sharqiyah Municipality said in a statement, "The municipality of Masirah raided one of the houses that sell cigarettes and tobacco and confiscated approximately 700 packs of cigarettes and 216 packs of tobacco."

"The raid was held in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police and Public Prosecution," the municipality added.
