Omani team arrives in Doha for Gulf Cup

Doha: Oman’s national football team arrived in Doha for the 2019 Arabian Gulf Cup, which is set to begin on November 26.
The Sultanate’s national team touched down in Qatar and was accorded a traditional Qatari welcome, complete with little children offering the sportsmen bouquets of flowers as they exited Hamad International Airport.
Oman have been drawn in Group B at the Gulf Cup, with their first game against Bahrain on Wednesday, November 27. The other two teams in their group are Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. While the defending champions are in Group B, Group A consists of hosts Qatar, as well as the United Arab Emirates, Yemen and Iraq, who will play Qatar in the Gulf Cup opener on Tuesday, November 26. The Gulf Cup will run from November 26 to December 8.
A statement from the Oman Football Association said, “The local organising committee of the Arabian Gulf Cup met with the players of our senior national team this morning. During the lecture, the laws of the tournament and the media aspects were discussed, in addition to the places allocated for the treatment and rehabilitation of players during the tournament, and other matters concerning the players.”
“The Oman national team delegation arrived in Doha earlier today, ahead of their participation in the Gulf Cup2019!” added the Qatar Football Association, on Saturday. “Welcome to Qatar!”
People living in Oman who wish to travel to Qatar to watch the Gulf Cup first-hand can buy their tickets in Oman.
The tickets are being sold at two locations in the Sultanate – one in Muscat, and one in Sohar – and can also be purchased online at www.gulfcup2019.qa.
A statement from the Qatar Football Association said, “Tickets are available in Oman at Muscat Grand Mall and Safeer Mall in Sohar. Get your tickets, mark the dates and support your national team at the Gulf Cup 2019!” Tickets are being sold in the mall daily from 4pm to 10pm.
Additionally, those who live in Kuwait and wish to buy their tickets can do so at The Avenues Mall, while in Qatar, tickets are being sold at Souq Waqif, Katara, Villaggio, the Mall of Qatar and Doha Festival City.
