Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, has pardoned 332 prisoners on the occasion of National Day, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced.
Among the prisoners 142 convicted in different cases were foreign nationals. In a statement, ROP said: “His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Supreme Commander, has issued a special pardon to a group of prison inmates convicted in various cases.”
The Royal pardon coincides with the 49th National Day.
