Second bowling tournament for banks concludes

Muscat: During a special ceremony held under the patronage of Abdul Aziz Al Manthari from the Central Bank of Oman, the second Bowling Tournament for Banks concluded its competitions and awarded the winners in the Teams category: National Bank of Oman (1 st place), Central Bank of Oman (2 nd place), and HSBC Oman (3rd place).

Aimed to build camaraderie between participating banks, the tournament saw the participation of teams from 17 banks including the Central Bank of Oman, Bank Muscat​, Bank Dhofar, National Bank of Oman, Oman Arab Bank, HSBC, Ahli Bank, Sohar International, First Abu Dhabi Bank, Alizz Islamic Bank, Bank Nizwa, Standard Chartered, Qatar National Bank, Habib Bank, Oman Development Bank, Oman Housing Bank, and Bank of Baroda.

This event was organised in a collaboration between Oman Banks Association (OBA) and the Central Bank of Oman between 3 and 6 November, at Al Seeb Bowling Centre. The 4-day tournament hosted rounds of competitions in the various categories: single, duo, trio and teams.

The Bowling Tournament for Banks is an annual event that falls in line with the Oman Banks Association (OBA)’s efforts to promote all kinds of sports and encourage members of the banking community to adopt a healthy and physically active lifestyle.
