Reducing bachelor accommodation in residential areas discussed

Muscat: The Municipal Council in Al Batinah South Governorate is preparing a study that will reduce bachelor expat workers residing in residential areas.

The council hosted a number of manpower officials and a number of solutions were discussed.

Khalid Al Maamari, Director General of Manpower in Al Batinah South Governorate, said: "There are more than 96,000 licenses for expatriate workers in the South Al Batinah Governorate practicing various activities.

“About 30,000 workers are working in the construction and contracting sector. Most of them are from Bangladesh,” he added.
