Muscat: The coastal areas of the Sultanate are likely to be flooded as an indirect effect of the Tropical Storm Kyarr.
This information was revealed by the Oman National Emergency Management Centre.

In a statement online, the National Committee for Civil Defense (NCCD) at the Centre issued a warning stating that: “due to the weather condition today, along with the high tide effect, the coastal areas are expected to be partially flooded as an indirect effect of Kyarr Tropical Storm.”
The officials at the NCCD advised all citizens and residents to take all precautionary measures.
