Muscat:
Oman’s Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) has issued the latest update on the Tropical storm Kyarr.

Officials said that the aerial photograph shows the rainy clouds flowing to the southeast and central governorates while the low clouds are flowing to parts of the coast of the Sea of Oman.

“With the wind speed around the centre at 35-45 knots, the distance between the tropical system’s centre and the coats is 260 km,” PACA said in an online statement.

Adding that: “the nearest convective clouds bands from the coats is at 312 km. The direction is southwest parallel to the governorates of south Al Sharqiya, Al Wusta and Dhofar.”

In addition to that, experts at PACA also recorded and monitored the rainfall occurred in various wilayats.

“Al Ashkara recoded 32.8 mm of rainfall followed by Ras Al Hadd at 23.4 mm while Sur stood at 8.6 mm. Shaleem and Jaalan Bani Bu Hassan recorded at 5.4 mm and 4.2 mm respectively,” PACA said.
