Omani authorities clean oil spill after wooden boat sinks

Muscat: After reports emerged of an oil spill after the sinking of a wooden boat near Khasab Port in Oman, the Rapid Intervention team to control oil spills and treat marine pollution in cooperation with government agencies and private entities, leapt into action and succeeded in controlling the spill

In an online statement, the environment company said: "The staff of the Environment Company received a report from the ports about the incident of an oil spill due to the sinking of a wooden boat outside the port of Khasab. The incident was dealt with in coordination with the Ministry of Environment, Coast Guard Police and Marafi Compnay to reduce leakage and clean the entire area by using all means and possibilities available.”
