Weather update: Parts of Oman receive heavy rainfall

Muscat: Several governorates like Al Batinah (North), Al Buraimi and Al Dhahirah across Oman receive heavy to moderate rainfall on Monday, the Public Authority of Civil Aviation (PACA) announced.

A statement by the Meteorological Department of PACA said: “There is a formation of a thunderstorm with rainfall on coasts of North and South Al Batinah. There is also rainfall in the wilayats of western Al Hajar Mountains with chance of rainfall on the rest of the Hajar Mountains”

“There are also chances of thunderstorms and active downward winds later,” PACA added in their statement.
