Muscat: The Secretariat General of the Supreme Council for Planning organised a work session at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre on the strategic spatial alternatives for the Governorate of Muscat.
The session was patronised by Talal bin Sulaiman Al Rahbi, Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Planning (SCP).
In a speech, Talal bin Suleiman Al Rahbi emphasised on the urban strategy that has come a long way for gathering information and stressed on the evaluation of the current situation for better urban planning in Oman.
He added that global and regional issues were taken into account for adopting the objectives of the sustainable development 2030.
The participants debated three spatial alternatives, based on various themes including Urban Development, Economic Diversification, Environmental Management and Cultural Heritage, Transport and Infrastructure development.
