Muscat: Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of Royal Office received in his office on Monday Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs in Qatar and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, Gen. Al-Nu’amani welcomed the guest, who expressed his thanks and appreciation for the Sultanate.
The meeting touched on march of the fraternal relations binding the Sultanate and Qatar. The meeting also reviewed a number of areas of the joint cooperation and means of promoting them to achieve the joint interests of the two countries, in addition to touching on several matters of common concern. Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC). He was received at at Mu’askar Al Murtafa’a by Rear Admiral Abdullah bin Khamis Al Ra’eesi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) and Commodore Mansoor bin Mohammed Al Kharoosi, Head of the MSC.
The guest was briefed on the tasks and roles of the centre in managing and leading operations of the maritime security such as search and rescue operations and protectingmarine environment from various risks.
The guest also viewed equipment used in supporting maritime security operations.
