Here is why Omani companies are saying nice things to you

Muscat: Companies in Oman are taking part in an online trend called ‘compliment your loved ones using your specialty’.

So far, companies in Oman such as Mwasalat, Omantel, and The Muscat Electricity Distribution Company have taken part in the trending move, which requires you to give a compliment to your loved ones based on what you do for a living or study.

The trend began with an image saying “Give a compliment based on your specialty” along with the popular Twitter tag Sco pa tu manaa, which users interpret as ‘give your opinion’.

The Muscat Electricity Distribution Company’s response was, “My life is dark without you in it.”

Omantel decided to hop onto the train of compliments with the line, “Everyone else is Edge connection, but you are 5G.”

Mwasalat responded by saying, “They all have to drive, but you can rest easy with us.”

The trend has been gaining momentum, with GCC companies and even professionals using their job as inspiration to compliment their loved ones.

Netflix in the Middle East and North Africa Region said, “They are all one episode a week, but you are a full season.”

Students began to use their majors as inspiration as well, talking about business, medicine, and law in order to come up with compliments.

Although the original tweet began on September 23, the trend is still going strong as of Sunday.
