Muscat: Hikaa has been recategorised as a tropical storm after hitting Oman, since it has lost substantial wind-speed, according to the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA).
A statement by PACA read: "The category of the Hikaa has reverted to 'tropical storm', since its windspeed around the center now ranges between 45 to 55 knots."
