Rahbi to lead Omani team at Cairo meet

Muscat: The Sultanate will participate in the 103rd ordinary session of the ministerial meeting of the Arab Economic and Social Council in Cairo.
The meetings will be held today at the Arab League headquarters under the chairmanship of Talal bin Suleiman Al Rahbi, Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Planning (SCP).
The Sultanate will chair deliberations of the 103rd session, where the SCP Deputy Secretary General will deliver the opening speech of the council.
The meeting will review the report of the Secretary General of the Arab League on following-up implementation of the Council’s decisions and the activities of the Secretariat General, as well as discuss several topics, such as the Greater Arab Free Trade Area (GAFTA) and the developments of the Arab Customs Union (ACU) on investment in Arab countries.
