Winds likely to cause dust storms in parts of Oman

Muscat: South-western wind activity is likely to cause dust to rise in the Governorates of Al Wusta and Dhofar.

The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) issued a warning online which said, "Notification, Dhofar and Al Wusta governorates will witness active South-western winds causing dust to rise."

"Some meteorological stations, Haima, Zaymayem and Dukum, recorded wind speeds exceeding 20 knots," PACA added.
