Muscat: The Oman Tennis Association (OTA) celebrated the World Tennis Day, organised under an International Tennis Federation (ITF) programme, at Avenues Mall on Tuesday.
The three-hour event, which began at 5.00 p.m. on Tuesday, saw participation of OTA's Mini Tennis players, children from public and private schools, Nizwa Club as well as the people visiting the mall. They enjoyed the experience of playing with national junior players and OTA coaches.
The OTA conducted the programme to promote tennis among young players.
Oman Tennis Association Chairman Mutasim Al Zadjali was delighted with the response to the programme from clubs, public and private schools and the other tennis enthusiasts.
The OTA chairman said the association will organise such programmes in all regions, sports complexes and commercial centres.
The OTA officials thanked to Mahesh Khiraiya, Marketing Manager of Oman Avenues Mall, as well as Muscat Pharmacy (Pocari Sweat) and McDonalds.
