Muscat: In pursuit of excellence in the field of customer satisfaction, supplying products with premium quality as well as a commitment to protect the health and safety of its employees and the community, Salalah Mills Co. has achieved yet another milestone by bagging one more ISO Certification.
Salalah Mills Co. has now been awarded ISO 45001:2018 certification for Occupational Health and Safety Management System by TUV Nord, the world-renowned certification body, based in Germany.
In a brief function held on July 22, Basheer Al Salem, the Country Manager for TUV Nord, Middle East, presented the certifications to Ahmed Alawi Al Dhahab, Chief Executive Officer, Salalah Mills Co. The company now comprises two additional units such as Salalah International Plastic Industries which started its commercial Production of Polypropylene bags in 2017 and Salalah Macaroni, an independent company started in 2007 for producing dry pasta products, merged recently with Salalah Mills Co.
During the ceremony, Al Dhahab appreciated the employees for their dedication as well as commitment for maintaining the consistency in quality of products as well the customers for their continuous support and trust instilled on the company.
All the three units are now certified for ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System) ISO 22000:2005 (Food Safety Management System), ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) as well as HACCP. Apart from that the laboratory of Salalah Mills Co. has also been accredited by Emirates International Accreditation Centre (EIAC), a Dubai government owned agency, for ISO/IEC 17025:2005 certification.
