Alawi conveys His Majesty’s greetings to Assad

Damascus: President Bashar Al Assad of Syria received Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs yesterday.
Alawi conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to the Syrian President.
Bilateral relations, means of developing them and enhancing efforts to restore security and stability in the region were discussed during the meeting. The meeting was attended by Walid Al Muallem, Syrian Foreign Minister.
The Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs held talks with Walid Al Muallem, Syrian Foreign Minister.
The session reviewed bilateral relations, as well as the two sides’ aspiration to strengthen them to serve the interests of both countries and people.
The two sides reviewed developments in the regional arena and efforts to enhance dialogue to reach political solutions to restore security and stability in the region.
The meeting was attended by officials at the Syrian Foreign Ministry and the delegation accompanying Bin Alawi.
