Muscat: Royal Hospital has called on blood donors to donate urgently if they belong to the O+ and AB+ groups.
The hospital said in a statement online: "The Royal Hospital will perform a liver transplant on July 9, requiring transfusion of blood donors for the recipient.
"We appeal to the those of O+ and AB+ blood groups to quickly donate blood, and we also appeal to the stakeholders to provide support from July 5-8 2019," the hospital added.
The hospital noted: "for donors, you can go to the Central Blood Bank at Bousher from 8am to 8pm. The blood bank will also be open receive platelet donors on Friday morning due to an emergency case."
