No delay in social security payments: Ministry

Muscat: There is no delay in the disbursement of social security payments, the Government said on Wednesday.

In a statement, the Ministry of Social Development said, "Due to a large number of questions raised about the mechanism and timing of payment, the Ministry would like to clarify to all the beneficiaries that the payment will be made on time."

"The Ministry affirms its commitment to make pay social security payments monthly to categories legally due, on the date specified, no later than 19 of each month and without delay," the statement added.
