Muscat: Atyab Food Industries, one of the investments of Oman Flour Mills Company which is a subsidiary of the Oman Investment Company, has announced that all its products would be free from hydrogenated oils with effect from June 15.
It is first such company which has taken this measure keeping in view the health and safety of the consumers. It has ensured that there would be no reuse of oil in any of its food products.
A statement issued by the company said that it has always been interested in ensuring the safety of food and bakery items as well as in all its products the number of which is 300. It has said that it was now using best flour of the Omani Flour Mills Company. Its products and all its production lines are automatic and modern and are not touched by hands and its products reach everywhere within the Sultanate of Oman and abroad.
Due to its high standards, it received ISO, FSSC2200, ISO 22000 and ISO HACCP certificates for quality of its products.
The company has also said that its bakery was the biggest in the Sultanate and has largest share of the Omani market of various types of bakery items.
It supplies its products even to the government organisations including Ministry of Education, Ministry of Defence, OmanAir, major insurance companies, all hypermarkets and fast food joints like McDonalds in Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates, to KFC in Oman and Qatar, Hardee’s and Pizza Hut in Qatar, Berger King, Costa Coffee and others as well as major hotels of the Sultanate.
The company also said that Atyab Bakery was leading in the Sultanate and has a fleet of 120 trucks to meet the requirements of the market of bakery items as well as for export to Jordon, Lebanon and Yemen.
